PRIVATELY GUIDED TOUR
 |
|
THE Galapagos Islands offer one of the most unusual and rewarding travel experiences. Set in the warm equatorial waters, 600 miles of the coast of Ecuador, one of the world’s most famous archipelagos lie in isolation. The Galapagos Islands, emerging due to volcanic activity six million years ago from the sea, are home to animal and plant species not found anywhere else on earth. Charles Darwin, inspired by this 'living laboratory of evolution' put the Galapagos Islands on the map in 1859 with his revolutionary research on the origin of species. The islands remain suspended in time, with 500-pound tortoises and colourful prehistoric iguanas climbing beautiful lavascapes. |
