'PRIVATELY GUIDED' TOUR
|
| Flights from Kathmandu to Lhasa are from March through November on Tuesdays and Saturdays only |
ISOLATED by formidable natural barriers and its political condition, Tibet was truly a 'forbidden' land. Now April through October twice weekly flights over the Himalayas brings you from Kathmandu to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet (11, 850 ft). The Gonggar airport is almost 62 miles away. You will visit Buddhist monasteries including the massive Potala Palace, vibrant Barkhor Street, see vast open space and meet roving nomads with their herds of yak and sheep.
