The towering monasteries of Meteora and soaring Mt. Olympus inspire awe, while relaxing islands like Santorini and Mykonos invite simple pleasures and a taste of the good life on the Aegean Sea. The Greek countryside presents the perfect coda with idyllic landscapes of cypress groves, vineyards, and olive trees, as well as dramatic coves with sparkling white sand and rugged mountains that plunge into the sea.
Day 1: Arrive ATHENS- Arrive Athens Airport and meet your driver at the exit gate. Transfer to your hotel. Time at leisure, overnight in Athens.
Day 2: ATHENS- Half day panoramic Athens city tour including Acropolis (max 4 hrs) – private tour. Enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the city´s principal modern and classical sights. This tour includes an overview of the modern city and the striking contrasts of the remains of the past. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium, and site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. See the Presidential Palace, the former Royal Palace, government buildings and elegant homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square. In contrast, you will see the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning glory of Athens, the Acropolis, with its many monuments on top of its mountain perch, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Day 3: Athens to Mykonos by High Speed Ferry (Dep.15:30/arr.18:00) Morning at leisure to walk around Plaka area. Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to port. Take the ferry to Mykonos. Arrive in Mykonos and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Mykonos.
Day 4: Half day Mykonos island tour and walking tour in town (max. 3 hrs) – private tour The tour of the island will start with a visit to the capital of Mykonos, Ano Mera. The big square in the middle of the village with all traditional café and restaurants and the big marble fountain, the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani with the unique icon of holy Mary, makes Ano Mera the most attractive and traditional village of Mykonos. We continue our drive to some of the most famous beaches of the island like, Kalafatis, Ornos and Agios Giannis with the perfect view to Delos. On the way back we will explore the labyrinth of Mykonos port town with famous Windmills, Little Venice, Paraportiani church, the small fishermen port with the church of Saint Nikolas, and “Yialos” area with all café and restaurants till the main Manto square. Enjoy some free time on your own into the small narrow streets of Mykonos with all shops and white small houses, before you return to your hotel. Free afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Mykonos.
Day 5: Free day in Mykonos - Free day and overnight in Mykonos.
Day 6: Mykonos to Santorini by High Speed Ferry (dep.13:50/arr.16:30) Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to port. Take the ferry to Santorini. Arrive Santorini port and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 7: Half day tour to Oia and Fira town (no visits to sites or museums, max. 4 hrs) – private tour - The tour starts with first stop the traditional settlement of Oia which is located on the northern tip of the island, high on the cliff top. Oia hosts the most magnificent views on Santorini and a picturesque road with cliffs on one side and sea on the other leads to this attractive town. Walk around and discover the typical Santorinian architecture with houses sunk deep into the volcanic soil, their whitewashed walls and blue domes sparkling under the sunlight. Return then to Fira the capital town of the island. Wondering through the white cobbled streets of Fira a town of about 2000 inhabitants one gets the feel of the old-world charm blended in with the modern-day comforts and Gold Street where someone can find the most interesting jewelries. Free afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 8: Catamaran (sunset tour) – small group tour - Sail along Santorini deep blue waters to a secluded cruise, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim at the red beach, a pleasant sailing along the white beach and the big light house south of the caldera. Explore unmanned volcanic beaches were the spectacular colors (black, red, white) will amaze you or just sunbathing on deck. Snorkeling gear is provided and the crew can quickly help you. As heading to the hot springs you will feel the energy of the volcano and the spirit of the island! While anchored, a delicious lunch with wine and dessert is served onboard. Day 9: - Free Day in Santorini - Free day at leisure. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 10: - Santorini to Athens by Flight -Pick up from your hotel, transfer to airport and take the flight back to Athens. Arrive in Athens International Airport and connect your flight home.
