It’s a popular holiday destination, with sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and clifftop Sorrento winds past grand villas, terraced vineyards and cliff side lemon groves. Spring is the best time to visit the Amalfi Coast. July and August are high season; temperatures can be quite high and parking can be a challenge. Fall (especially November) and winter are rainy. The Ravello Festival, an annual arts and music festival, takes place throughout the summer in the town of Ravello.
Day 1: ARRIVAL- Arrival at the airport in Naples. Transfer to the hotel in the Fiuggi.
Evening walk around the town of Fiuggi filled with colorful stores, restaurants, bars and shopping. The town of Fiuggi became famous for its Acqua di Fiuggi which flows from its natural springs and mountains.
Day 2: FIUGGI - Excursion to VALMONTONE
Breakfast in hotel. Full day at leisure to explore Fiuggi and nearby areas on your own. Perhaps you may want to shop at the Valmontone Outlet stores for Italian made items at a discount!!
Day 3: FIUGGI - SORRENTO - Excursion to MONTECASSINO
Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Sorrento. Stop in to the monastry of Montecassino, almost destroyed during Second World War. Overnight at your hotel in Sorrento.
Day 4: SORRENTO - Excursion to AMALFI & POSITANO
Breakfast in hotel. Full day trip to Amalfi. Experience the unforgettable view above Positano’s colourful Moorish-style houses.
Day 5: SORRENTO - Excursion to POMPEI
Breakfast in hotel. Free morning and in the afternoon half day excursion to Pompei to visit the Ancient Roman town of Pompei which was destroyed due to a volcanic eruption but perfectly preserved over centuries.
Day 6: SORRENTO Excursion to CAPRI
Breakfast in hotel. Full day excursion to Capri by ferry-boat to discover the island 'the jewel of Italy' envied around the world.
Optional Boat excursion to see the beautiful rocks of Capri
Day 6: SORRENTO - ROME Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Rome. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Rome.
Day 7: Rome; Full day tour of Vatican and Rome.
Day 8: DEPARTURE
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport in Rome. End of service.
